What can I do? only the consumer can change our farming practices. I do my part by having summerfallow on half of my fields. That helps control the weeds. Plus I use a rod weeder and harrows after seeding to manually kill most of the weeds before the crop emerges. When out shopping for food, Alway look for pesticide free or organic foods. No foods may be 100% free of pesticides.. But it is up to you to reduce the amount of toxic chemicals that you may consume.
